Helping people navigate meaningful change - without losing themselves
Welcome—I’m Laura Vanderberg, and I work with people at moments of change, especially when feedback, role shifts or transition disrupt how they see themselves. I help them make sense of what's happening, try real-world adjustments, and learn from what unfolds. My work blends coaching, facilitation, design, and strategy—always tailored, always human.
Working in a way that honors the real pace of human change- attentive, iterative, and grounded in what emerges: I bring an unusual combination of scientific depth, coaching mastery, and human-centered leadership experience. I work best when I'm part of something meaningful, and offering insight and support, with just enough lightheartedness to make serious work feel a little more human. My background includes years of titled and unofficial leadership and coaching roles built on a PhD in Microbiology, decades of work and consulting in technical fields, and certification as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the ICF. I’m a lifelong learner and prolific sharer of what I learn. My continuing education has included Health and Wellness Coach training through the Mayo Clinic, Neuroscience of Coaching and Accelerating Coach Excellence programs through Coaching.com, more than 1500 hours of leadership and career coaching as a Premier Fellow Coach through BetterUp, and, of course, life.
I partner with people and organizations when meaningful growth requires time, presence and reflection, not a quick fix or single workshop. I focus on helping capable professionals navigate change with clarity, agency and confidence.

How this work is typically structured
Growth like this requires continuity. It isn't one conversation, it's a working relationship that typically spans months and is supported through professional engagement. I'm glad to talk about structure and fit; just ask.A note on embodied practice
Yoga and companion practices support the nervous system, attention and embodiment. They are not a replacement for the ongoing reflective work I do with coaching partners. Through somatic sequencing, gentle movement and contemplative practices, yoga offers a regulation practice that complements growth under pressure. It's complete in itself and supports readiness for deeper reflective change.
